NICO Zambia hosted a Customer Service Excellence Workshop at Sandy’s Creations Resort in Lusaka which concluded on 2nd June 2018.
The workshop which was facilitated by Career Prospects Limited was convened to refresh and sharpen customer service excellence skills in all members of staff including the security guards, gardeners and cleaners who have been contracted by NICO and are in contact with its customers.
The workshop which attracted about 80 people including members of staff and its associates, was hosted in two phases and concluded on the 2nd of June, 2018. The training covered topics on Promoting a more Positive Attitude, Projecting a Professional Business Image and Principles of Excellent Customer Service. Other activities during the training included Team Bonding Exercises.
Speaking during official opening of the training workshop, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Geoffrey Chirwa implored members of staff to put customer service at the core of their duties if we are to see NICO Insurance acclaim accolades of being the best insurer in the market.
Mr. Chirwa challenged all trainees to pay attention to the vision of the company of aspiring to be the most distinct short term insurer by service as it meshes itself with NICO’s vision of striving to be a financially sound insurer providing security and value to all stakeholders. He stressed that the values of the group which include Professionalism, Integrity, Collaboration, Transparency, Innovation and Quality must be embraced and owned by all.
“A company which is number one in any industry or sector may not necessarily be the best, but one that gives the best quality, excellent and professional customer experience in my view is number one”, intonedMr Chirwa. He added that every employee must live by the company values in order to make a meaningful contribution to the organization.
In giving a vote of thanks at the end of the training workshop, MrMazuba Lungu – Assistant Accountant in the Credit Control Department thanked the CEO and management for facilitating a training workshop of this nature adding that he counted himself and all the attendees lucky for being available at a time such as this one to be a part of the great NICO team. He said it is trainings like this one that will motivate and enable the team to perform better and help take the company to greater heights.
